Growing up with a chef for a mother and a butcher for a father, combined with many of his relatives and friends owning wineries and producing their own wines, Reney developed a passion for food and wine.

With more than 13 years managing a local specialty food and retail establishment, Reney has hands-on experience distilling complex wine concepts into useable information for non-connoisseur wine buyers (you know, us, regular every day people).

Reney has traveled the world, experiencing an array of local wines and traditional foods. But he calls the California Central Coast home and finds comfort and satisfaction in the "love of life" attitude of most Californians.
